I'm Karol (he/him for all you westerners), a software engineer based in Europe. I built CheckSite because I was integrating 5 different APIs in a project, using about 3 endpoints from each - 15 endpoints total. I didn't care about every changelog update, just the ones affecting my specific endpoints. I wanted to group them all in one place and tell the system: "watch for changes to endpoint X in Stripe, endpoint Y in Twilio, endpoint Z in SendGrid" and get a single digest explaining what changed and what I need to do about it.
Existing tools either showed raw HTML diffs or just said "something changed." None of them could tell me what changed, why it matters, or what to do next.
Then I realized the same problem exists everywhere: real estate agents tracking competitor listings, analysts watching regulatory filings, product managers monitoring competitor pricing. Same gap. So I built something that works for all of them.
CheckSite is self-funded. No investors, no pressure to grow at all costs.
Based in the EU. GDPR compliance is how the product was designed, not something bolted on later. The privacy policy says exactly what I collect and why.
