Monitor Groups & Digest Notifications

4 min read

Organize your monitors into groups and choose between instant notifications or consolidated digests. Available on the Pro plan.

Pro feature: Monitor groups and digest notifications are available on the Pro plan.

What Are Monitor Groups?

Groups let you organize related monitors together. For example, you might create:

  • Competitor Pricing — monitors for competitor pricing pages
  • Documentation — monitors for API docs and changelogs
  • Job Boards — monitors for job listing pages

Groups appear as collapsible sections on your dashboard, keeping things organized as your monitor count grows. Monitors not assigned to a group appear under "General."

Creating a Group

  1. On your dashboard, click the Create Group button
  2. Enter a name for your group (up to 100 characters)
  3. Click Create

Once created, you can drag monitors into the group or assign them from the monitor's settings.

Assigning Monitors to Groups

To add a monitor to a group, use the group dropdown on each monitor card on the dashboard. You can also move monitors between groups at any time.

Digest Notifications

Instead of getting a separate notification for every change, you can receive a consolidated digest that bundles all changes from a group into a single message.

Notification Modes

  • Instant (default) — You get notified immediately when a change is detected, just like ungrouped monitors
  • Daily digest — All changes from the group are collected and sent once per day at your chosen hour (UTC)
  • Weekly digest — All changes are collected and sent once per week on your chosen day and hour (UTC)

Configuring Digest Settings

  1. Click the settings icon on a group header
  2. Choose your notification mode (instant, daily, or weekly)
  3. For daily: pick the hour (UTC) when you want the digest
  4. For weekly: pick the day and hour
  5. Save your settings

Tip: Digest notifications are sent to all channels enabled on the monitors within the group. If one monitor has Slack enabled and another has Telegram, the digest goes to both channels — each receiving only the changes relevant to its monitors.

What's in a Digest?

Each digest includes:

  • The time period covered (e.g., "Daily digest for March 13")
  • Total number of changes detected
  • Changes grouped by monitor, with summaries for each
  • A cross-monitor pattern summary when multiple monitors have changes (highlights trends across your monitored sites)

Cross-Monitor Insights

When you have multiple monitors in a group, you can click the Analyze button on the group to get intelligent insights that correlate changes across all monitors in the group over the past 7 days.

This helps you spot trends — for example, if multiple competitors changed their pricing in the same week.

General Monitors

Monitors that aren't assigned to any group always send instant notifications. If you want digest behavior, create a group and assign the monitor to it.
